The negotiated contract for 2019-2022 is officially ratified. The overall number of ballots cast by our members exceeded our expectations, and the contract was ratified by a wide margin. 83% of the voting members voted to accept the negotiated contract. The contract will now go before Legislators for funding and CEA will meet with the Department of Administration to sign the final version. As we continue to assemble information for the upcoming vote (re: contract ratification), we will not be holding CEA executive board meetings for November or December. We anticipate the next official meeting January 15, 2019. We wish you all happy and safe holidays, and thank you for the great feedback and participation this year! It really has been help and gratifying for us to be part of such a great, hard-working group of people. First: The November CEA executive board meeting has been postponed until further notice. We sincerely apologize for any confusion around the date changes and thank you all for your patience as we work around negotiations and holiday schedules. Second: Our CEA negotiations team and the State of Alaska have reached a tentative agreement for our 2019-2022 CEA contract negotiations! We apologize for the late notice, but due to our negotiations schedule the November board meeting will be moved to November 21, 2018 from 12:00 - 13:00.
